- ===============================================================================
-
- This directory should contain [modulo a site dependent choice of names]:
- [1] faq-fweb.texi the Texinfo source file. Other versions (Info-text,
- DVI, PostScript...) can be produced with this one.
- At least this is true if you have the GNU Texinfo package
- [the latest version can be retrieved via Anon FTP from
- prep.ai.mit.edu in directory pub/gnu].
- A Makefile [6] for Info, DVI and shar is included.
- TeX or FWEB code included in this file is edited for
- Texinfo: use [2] to copy code for your purposes.
- **IMPORTANT** If you do not have Texinfo, process this like any
- TeX file using [5] -- no index is provided in this case.
-
- [2] faq-fweb the text file made from [1] using makeinfo-1.49
- (for the options, see [6]).
- Posted to LitProg mailing list, January 1993.
-
- ***[3] fweb-faq.dvi DVI version of the FAQ. Including the complete
- index from [1] (which you won't get without having
- Texinfo installed on your system).
-
- ***[4] fweb-faq.ps Postscript version of the FAQ. Including the complete
- index from [1] (which you won't get without having
- Texinfo installed on your system).
-
- [5] texinfo.tex The macro package [version 2.90] for Texinfo.
- Must be in your TEXINPUTS path. If you have it,
- you may simply say "tex fweb-faq.texi" to get
- ordinary TeX-output (but no index--if you want
- that, get Texinfo or print [3] or [4]).
-
- [6] Makefile A very simple makefile. See header for usage.
- Including a discussion of problems processing the
- Texinfo source file. Maybe useful if you've just
- started using Texinfo.
-
- The total size (uncompressed) is about 500 KBytes.
-

- ----------------------------
- If you're a local archive administrator, you may modify the information
- given here (file names, addresses or files like texinfo.tex which are

- changes, this will avoid confusion. Please put a suitable modification
- remark after the one I appended and notify me. Thanks a lot.
